Minnesota Trap Shooting programs concerned about proposed lead based ammunition ban

A group of Minnesota Lawmakers are pushing for legislation that would ban the sale and use of lead based ammunition in the State of Minnesota. The bill has caught the attention of trap shooting organizations and teams across the state of Minnesota who have concerns with the bill. Fertile Beltrami Trap Shooting coach Shawn Ramsey is one of those people concerned and he says this bill, if passed, would kill his and other trap programs across the state. 

Ramsey also shared his opinion on the bill and claims that the reason some want this ban in place is political. 

Ramsey also talked about the importance of these 400+ trap teams and organizations across the State of Minnesota, and says that this ban would do more harm than good to kids across the state. 

Representative Patty Acomb, (Minnetonka), is the chief author for HF 3813, which would ban lead based ammunition in the state.
