More Mahnomen Hospital Lobbying

MAHNOMEN, MN—During this year’s Minnesota Legislative session, the bonding bill that passed included funds for renovations at the Mahnomen Hospital and Nursing Home. City officials had been lobbying for the bonds for several years.  But at Monday’s Mahnomen City Council meeting, the Council approved a contract for a lobbyist for the upcoming Minnesota Legislative session.  R&J News asked Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther why the services of a lobbyist are still needed.

The cost for the lobbyist will be divided between the City of Mahnomen, Mahnomen County and the hospital.
