MSHSL Board Of Directors Meet

The Minnesota State High School League’s board of directors made a few changes at Thursday’s regular meeting.  Starting with the 2025-26 school year, girls high school tennis will expand to three classes.  At the State Volleyball tournaments, all eight teams will now be seeded; previously only the top five teams were seeded.  And when it comes to Minnesota high school football in classes nine-man through 5-A, the state quarterfinals will be divided into north and south brackets…with the higher seed in the north playing the lower seed in the south and the higher south seed meeting the lower seed from the north.  Also, Detroit Lakes will become a member of the Central Lakes Conference starting with the 2024-25 school year.
