Muskies Football Test Drive Fundraiser
On Thursday, September 19th the Fort Frances Muskie Football team had a Homecoming fundraiser at Sunset Country Ford where there was a special test driving event. And for each test drive they do, Sunset Country Ford donated $50 to the Muskie Football team.
I had the opportunity to talk to a couple of the players from the team who were helping out at the fundraiser.
They were then asked how the season has been going so far as the Homecoming game against Beaver Brae approaches.
Then being the defending AAA WHSFL Champs brings some pressure along with it?
They were then asked about any plans for Homecoming.
Their best answers came when asked about personal goals for the Homecoming game.
Spencer talked a little more about what the importance was for the team to do those fundraisers, aside from the financial benefits.
So then after the Homecoming game, win or lose but most likely win, what comes next?
I then had the opportunity to speak with Holly Kaemingh who works at the dealership, and also works at the Border GM on the American side of the border.
She was asked how they came to work with the football team to organize this fundraiser.
And they had a lot of folks show up for test drives.
In fact, Holly herself was an alumni of Fort Frances High School.
She was then asked what her favorite part had been of the fundraiser.
With this being the 75th season of Muskie football, a goal for the fundraiser was potentially getting 75 or more test drives done.
Of course, I had to ask about who was working the grill.
And the interview couldn’t end without Seth and Spencer giving out some fun shoutouts.
