National Loon Center set to start Loons and Lake Lake Stewardship program this Summer
(Crosslake, MN) — Connecting the Whitefish Chains of Lakes, the people that call the area home, and our state bird is the goal of the National Loon Center and their new Loons and Lake Stewardship program.
We had a conversation with the NLC’s Natasha Bartalotta about the new Stewardship program that will be as easy as hopping in a boat.
This new program would give people a front row view of the Loon Center’s work and give more understanding on their research.
The Loons and Lake Stewardship program is free of charge for people to take part in with the goal of bringing into knowing why the Common Loon is Minnesota’s State Bird.
Bartalotta mentioned the program will offer people the opportunity to not only learn about the loon, but also how to protect our environment for them to thrive.
