ND Peace Officers Memorial Highway
That’s Watford City Police Officer Jeffrey Jensen talking Wednesday about the dedication drive for North Dakota Highway 200 being christened the North Dakota Fallen Peace Officer Memorial Highway. Jensen drove the length of Highway 200 from Watford City to Halstad along with dozens of other law enforcement officers from North Dakota as signs were put up with the names of law enforcement who gave their lives in the line of duty. Jensen talks about the reception he and his fellow officers received during the drive.
Jensen says the names of fallen officers will be displayed along North Dakota Highway 200 with a different officer’s name each mile.
One of the honored fallen peace officers is Norman County native Cody Holte, who died in the line of duty May 27, 2020 while serving as a Grand Forks Police Officer.
