ND Special Session Recap
The North Dakota Legislature met in special session last week. During that three day session, the Legislature approved allocating nearly $400 million in federal money for rural health care over the next two years. But a measure that would have approved free meals to all North Dakota school children did not pass, failing in the Senate by a 24-22 vote. State Senator Randy Lemm of Hillsboro tells us how he voted and why.
One bill that was debated in the North Dakota House would have allowed families who make $96,000 a year to get free meals. That bill failed in the House.
