ND Spring Turkey Hunt Begins; Fire Safety Reminders
BISMARCK, ND—North Dakota’s spring turkey hunting season begins Saturday. And with that comes a reminder from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department about the risk of fire danger during the spring. Levi Jacobson, wildlife resource management supervisor for Game and Fish in Bismarck, tells us why there’s high potential for wildfires.
Jacobson says there’s a place online for hunters to get the latest information on fire danger.
That website is http://NDResponse.gov. As of Friday, there was a high risk of fire danger in Traill, Steele, Grand Forks, Nelson, Walsh and Eddy Counties…..with a moderate risk in Cass and Barnes Counties.
