New Law will affect Ice Anglers

This year will bring big changes for all ice fishers and anglers alike. A new law is in effect that will fine anyone out on the ice for leaving litter behind. The law was originally designed to impede sewage waste but will also include trash, animal carcasses, cigarette filters, firework debris, and any other form of waste left on the ice. The penalty for violation will be a petty misdemeanor and a fine of $100.
