Norman County Attorney discusses new school bus safety laws 

The State of Minnesota recently implemented new school bus traffic laws. R&J News had the chance to catch up with Norman County Attorney Liz Brainard, who explains the new rules, and what kind of punishment you could be facing from offices like hers if you don’t follow the law. 

Brainard says many prosecutors will pursue jail time for offenders due to the danger risk passing a stopped school bus has. 

Again, if the school buses lights are flashing, drivers are now legally obligated to stop. Even if the stop arm is not out.
