Norman County Diversion Programs lowering reoffending rates 

Did you know that Norman County has a Driving after Revocation Diversion program that helps offenders get their license, which leads to safer streets and lower reoffender rates? R&J News had the chance to catch up with Norman County Attorney Liz Brainerd who told us more about this program, and the impact it’s having. 

Brainard says this program also leads to lower rates of reoffense with a crime that has a high rate of reoffense. 

This isn’t the only diversion program offered in the county, as Brainard says there’s a Juvenile Diversion Program, which has the goal of getting teen offenders moving in the right direction.
