Norman County East School Board Approves Levy
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, December 19th, where they approved their annual tax levy and held their World’s Best Workforce presentation. The school board levied an approximately 9% decrease over last year, but due to new property tax assessments some district residents may notice an increase this coming year, according to Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell.
High School Principal Raina Askin presented the annual World’s Best Workforce Presentation, which identifies and assesses each district’s goals from the previous year. Superintendent Nudell says they are doing well in most areas, but like most districts will need to improve on 3rd grade reading proficiency.
One area that the district is reportedly doing very well in, according to Nudell, is closing the achievement gap amongst students.
The Norman County East School Board meets next on Tuesday, January 10th at 7:30am.
