Norman County East School Board Hires New K-12 Principal
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 16th, where they approved a new pairing agreement and hired a new K-12 principal. Current Principal Dustin Flaten has accepted the Superintendent position at Ulen-Hitterdal, so with his upcoming departure the school board approved hiring Raina Askin as his replacement, according to Superintendent Rob Nudell.
The school board also accepted the resignations of Spanish Instructor Lea Olson, ECFE Instructor Sarah Smart, and 6th grade teacher Avery Thompson and approved hiring Office Secretary Alayna Klemetson.
The board acted this week on a new co-curricular pairing agreement with Ulen-Hitterdal. Superintendent Nudell says they made some minor updates to pay keep the two schools in sync.
And with the school year wrapping up in the next few weeks, Nudell previews the end of year activities and reflects on the past year.
The Norman County East School Board also approved a school nurse contract with Norman-Mahnomen Public Health.
The board meets next on Monday, June 20th at 7pm.
