Norman County East School gearing up for new school year 

The 2026/2027 School Year is just a few weeks away, and the Norman County East School District is close to full staff for the school year. Norman County East School Board Chair Jason Douville says there are still some support staff positions that could be filled. 

Douville says the school board also approved new contracts for their school counselor and social worker. 

Childcare has also been a hot topic for the Eastern Norman County Communities, and Douville says the school board also held discussions about the future of childcare in the community. 

The Norman County East School Board will meet next on Monday, September 21 in the NCE Media Center.
