Norman County Organics Recycling Update
Norman County Environmental Services Director Garry Johanson gives R&J News an update on the green bag organic recycling program. Johanson says as of the end of March, 102 people were participating in the program with over a thousand green bags collected. Food scraps are put into the green bags, which are picked up with your garbage and then turned into compost. If you’d like to take part in this organics recycling program, you can get a green bag at the Norman County Courthouse, as well as the county courthouses in Mahnomen, Polk, Clearwater, Beltrami and Hubbard Counties.
