North Dakota State A Volleyball Day Three Recap, May-Port CG wins State Title
CHAMPIONSHIP – May-Port CG 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 16-25, 25-19) over Valley City
May-Port CG won their first state volleyball championship since 2014 defeating Valley City in the State A title match on Saturday night from Bismarck.
The Patriots won their fourth title in program history and the first since 2002.
Paetyn Strand finished with 20 kills and Kylie Kroeplin had 23 digs for May-Port CG.
Kadie finished with a match-high 25 kills.

3RD PLACE – Central Cass 3-2 (23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11) over South Prairie-Max
Isabelle Thompson finished with 23 kills and 8 digs, while Aspyn Prien added 17 kills and 4 blocks for Central Cass in their comeback win in the State A third place match on Saturday.
Central Cass finishes 31-10 overall on the season.
Hattie Heer paced the Royals with 13 kills and 8 blocks as South Prairie-Max goes 32-5-3 on the season.
5TH PLACE – Thompson 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-22) Dickinson Trinity
The Thompson Tommies finish the season with back-to-back wins to take 5th place in Division A State Volleyball Tournament after defeating Dickinson Trinity in straight sets.
Abby Olson led all players with 13 kills, while Andie Schwab added 10 kills, 22 digs and 4 aces for the Tommies. Thompson goes 25-11-1 on the season.
For the Titans, Madi Wegeleitner had 11 kills and 2 aces. Trinity finishes the season at 30-14.
7TH PLACE – Hazen 3-1 (25-17, 27-25, 22-25, 25-21) over Des Lacs-Burlington
Macey Van Inwagen finished with 40 assists, 5 kills and 4 blocks for Hazen on Saturday morning in their 7th place win at the State A Tournament.
Hazen finished the year 21-14-3 on the season while DLB went 20-14-6 overall.
