Northern Cass School semifinalist for national prize
HUNTER, ND—The Northern Cass School District is one of 32 national semifinalists for a $1 million prize. The Yass Prize for sustainable, transformational, outstanding and permissionless education is given out by the Center for Education Reform. Northern Cass Superintendent Dr. Cory Steiner talks about the Yass Prize.
Steiner talks about what the Northern Cass district has done to reach this stage of the Yass Prize competition.
Steiner says the makeup of the Northern Cass school district is what inspired the district’s new direction.
Steiner says by reaching the semifinals, the Northern Cass school district is guaranteed $200,000. The school winning the Yass Prize will receive $1 million, with six runners-up getting $250,000 each. The Yass Prize will be awarded December 14.
