November is Carbon Monoxide Awareness Month

November 5, 2026 News -- KRJB-KRJM-KKCQ 0

Temperatures are getting colder, and in response, SAFE Kids Grand Forks is reminding residents about the importance of following the proper Carbon Monoxide safety measures. Carma Hanson of SAFE KIds Grand Forks says people need to be taking the proper precaution, as Carbon Monoxide exposure tends to increase as the temperature cools for winter.

Hanson says the most important, and effective aspect of carbon monoxide prevention is the use of carbon monoxide detectors at home, and wherever you’re staying.

Hanson says some homes need more than one carbon monoxide detector.
