October is SIDS Awareness Month
October is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month, and parents of young babies are reminded about the steps they can take to lower their child’s chances of SIDS. Carma Hansen of Safe Kids Grand Forks tells us more about this tragic syndrome.
Hansen says one of the ways parents could lower the chance of SIDS is to follow the ABCs of Safe Sleep.
Hansen says there are other miscellaneous things you can do to decrease the chance of SIDS including putting your baby to sleep with a pacifier, or even breastfeeding.
