Parents encouraged to start having Halloween safety discussions
Halloween may still be one week away, but parents are starting to get their Halloween plans in place. One of the most important aspects about Halloween is making sure your kids are prepared and safe. Carma Hansen of Safe Kids Grand Forks says that one thing parents should do is make it so their child’s costume is more visible at night.
Hansen says parents should also start having safety discussions with their kids. She says parents should also consider things like a check in time, and a curfew.
Finally, Hansen reminds drivers to do their part, and take extra precaution when driving in residential, and public areas.
