Perley Grade Raise Update

Here’s an update to a story R&J News has been following.  There’s going to be a public meeting soon about this summer’s raising of US Highway 75 and County Road 39.  Wild Rice Watershed District Administrator Tara Jensen has details.

The roads are going to be raised in order to prevent flooding in Perley.  Jensen says there will be short term pain this summer for long term gain.

FEMA issued a grant last year to pay for raising Highway 75 and County Road 39 through Perley.  Jensen spoke on Monday’s Kaleidoscope program on KRJB.
