Pifer’s Building Near Hillsboro Back on Track

Over six months after their initial proposal, Piefer’s Auction and Realty and Land Management is looking to close on fifteen acres of land just south of the Hillsboro city limits.

Traill County EDC Executive Director, Jim Murphy, gives the update.

In addition to the regional office and auction facility, the Pifer’s building would also function as a multi-use center for area residents.

While that business looks to be moving forward, another Hillsboro business will shut its doors tomorrow. Subway will cease operations at the end of the week. Murphy comments on both the challenges and the opportunities that come from this closure.
