Pifer’s Looking to Build in Hillsboro
A regional auction and realty company is seeking to expand to Traill County. Pifer’s Auction and Realty and Land Management has compiled a proposal to acquire fifteen acres of land just south of city limits. Traill County EDC Executive Director, Jim Murphy, brought the proposal before the Hillsboro Business Association during their monthly meeting Wednesday.
According to the proposal, the land would serve as a location for a regional office and auction facility. It would also function as a multi-use center for area residents, which according to the proposal, “aligns with Pifer’s core values of community engagement and service”.
The land in the proposal is currently privately owned. Should the proposal go through, construction would begin later this year. The Moorhead based company currently has eight locations across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
