Planting season update 

The 2026 Planting season continues to move along. Ada Farmer Danny Brandt says planting for him has gone well, as he’s been able to get his crop in the ground despite the cooler temperatures. 

Wind has been a major concern for area producers, but Brandt says one thing he was able to do was plant a cover crop last fall, and he’s excited to see how it works. 

It’s still too early to tell how his cover crop is working, and Brandt says he still has a lot to learn before calling it a success or failure.
