Polk County 4-H At Minnesota State Fair

Polk County 4-H has several young people getting ready to show their projects at the Minnesota State Fair.  Katie Becker, extension educator for 4-H youth development in Polk County, says these will be in what’s called the static encampment, or non-livestock, areas.

Becker says the North Star 4-H club from Crookston has two club projects at the State Fair.  One is a club banner; the other is a community pride project for a service project.

Ava Grunhovd from the Fertile 4-H Club is showing an animal at the Fair for the fourth straight year.

Ava’s cow is named Shamrock.  R&J News asked what Ava does to get a cow ready for the judging.
