Polk County Chief Deputy Mike Norland running for Sheriff
Last month, it was announced that Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman would be retiring at the end of the year, andPolk County Chief Deputy Mike Norland has already thrown his name in the ring to become the next sheriff. R&J News had the opportunity to catch up with Norland, who tells us more about himself and his law enforcement background.
Norland says he has had many different roles in the Polk County Sheriff’s Department over his 25 year career.
Norland explains why he decided to run for sheriff, and what he would bring to the position.
