Polk County Commission Meeting Recap 

The Polk County Commission held their first meeting of the year last week. Polk County’s 4th District Commissioner Joan Lee says it was a quiet meeting but they did have to make changes regarding the county’s official newspaper. 

Lee also looked back at their final meeting of 2023 and gave an overview of their operating levy for 2024.

 The Polk County Commissioners also changed their meeting schedule so they will now meet on the first and third Tuesdays in March, May, June, Aug, Nov., and December. In the remaining months they will meet on the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of the month. That means the next meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2024.
