Polk County Sheriff reminding anglers about state’s boat operation laws
The 2026 fishing season is officially underway, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is reminding anglers about Minnesota’s motorboat operation laws. Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman explains.
If you don’t have an operator’s permit Tadman says to get one through the DNR as you could receive a citation if you’re caught operating a boat without one.
