Polk County Sheriff  talks  ATV/Golf Cart Usage 

This time of year, it’s very common to see people using vehicles like golf carts, motor bikes, and ATV to get around, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents that if you are going to travel using these vehicles there are regulations that you need to follow. While rules regarding usage of these vehicles can vary from town to town, Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman says there are regulations that all people should be following. 

Tadman says there are also times when you can and can not be operating one of these vehicles, as well as vehicle requirements if you’re going to be taking them onto roads and streets. 

While these vehicles are smaller than your typical vehicle, Tadman says youth should not be driving these vehicles on roads and streets.
