Polk County Sheriff’s Office Reports Deceased NWRCC Inmate

On Wednesday, February 14th at 9:00 am, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston about an unresponsive male inmate. Crookston Area Ambulance also responded and transported the male to Riverview ER. The male was later pronounced dead at the Hospital. The inmate’s name will not be released until family members have been notified. The male has been transported to the UND Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The case is still active and no further information will be released at this time.
