Producers encouraged to not skimp on crop insurance coverage 

Crop insurance decisions for 2026 need to be made by producers by March 15, and with agricultural markets across the country being down, many producers are considering the idea of cutting down on expenditures by cutting back on their coverage. Ag Country Farm Credit Services Senior Vice President of Insurance Tony Jesina says producers should actually avoid doing this. 

Jesina says it’s also important that producers sit down with their crop insurer, and go over your individual options.
