Protect your home while on vacation 

We’re at the point in the winter where many area residents will go on Vacation to escape the cold, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people to take the proper steps and protect themselves from potential break ins. Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman says the best way to scare off potential intruders is to simulate activity while you’re away. 

Tadman also recommends that homeowners invest in some security technology, and he highlights some of the things you could consider purchasing.
