Protect yourself from shopping scams this holiday season 

The Holiday season is the busiest time of year for online shopping, and as we move closer to Christmas people can tend to be more careless when it comes to protecting themselves from online shopping scams.  Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman shares some tips that you should follow when shopping online. 

Tadman says you should also closely monitor your bank and credit card accounts for fraudulent activity, and he explains an easy way to keep track of your purchases. 

Porch pirates are also a concern this time of year, and Tadman says there are things you can do to protect your packages.  

If you detect fraudulent bank or credit card activity on your accounts contact you personal bank or credit union immediately.
