Public Health is active in every Minnesota County, and while the work they do is very impactful, many are unaware of the sheer amount of work and programs their local Public Health Office offers. While the services offered through Public Health may differ from county to county, Sarah Kjono of Norman-Mahnomen says the ultimate goal of Public Health is to fill in the gaps of healthcare, whether it be in a rural or urban community.

To give you an idea of the sheer amount of services that can be offered through Pubic Health, Kjono highlights some of the services they offer at Norman-Mahnomen Public Health.

Kjono says they wouldn’t be able to offer all these services, without the partnerships they have with other health agencies, including other area Public Health Offices.

More information about Norman-Mahnomen Public Health can be seen on their website at www.co.norman.mn.us/departments/public_health.
