Public Hearing set to discuss Essentia Health-Fosston’s labor and delivery unit

The Minnesota State Health Regulation Division will host an online public hearing to give people the opportunity to discuss the closing of Essentia Health’s labor and delivery services unit in Fosston. According to the Department of Health, labor and delivery services that had been provided in Fosston will go to Essentia St. Mary’s Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes. The Fosston location will still provide prenatal and Postpartum services. The public hearing is set for Tuesday, January 30th at 6:00 pm. The hearing will be hosted by the MDH’s Health Regulation Division to provide a forum for the greater Fosston community to discuss the change in services.
