Quiet Nook Lumber Prepares to Rebuild Following Devastating Fire
Quiet Nook Lumber, a local lumberyard located just south of Gonvick, is taking the first major step toward recovery after a destructive fire destroyed its facility.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene early Thursday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m., according to Cody Rude of the Gonvick Fire Department. Firefighters from both the Gonvick and Clearbrook Fire Departments responded, but upon arrival, they found the structure fully engulfed in flames. The building was ultimately destroyed.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
Despite the total loss of the structure, the business is moving forward with plans to rebuild. Quiet Nook Lumber is scheduled to pour new concrete this Friday as part of its initial efforts to repair and restore operations.
