Red River Bridge Replacement

On Tuesday, R&J News told you about a proposal to rebuild a bridge in Norman County.  County Engineer Keith Berndt says the bridge in question is on County Highway 25 in Hendrum.

Berndt says he’s working with the engineers in Polk and Cass Counties to put together a federal grant proposal that would pay for replacing the Hendrum bridge, as well as a bridge in Georgetown on County Road 36 and a bridge in Neilsville.  The proposal sounds like something out of an insurance commercial.

Berndt says it will be late spring or early summer before he and the other county engineers learn if their grant proposal is accepted.
