Safe Kids Grand Forks promoting proper car seat usage 

Car seats are the most important aspect of child passenger safety, but many parents are unaware that they might not be using their child’s car seat properly. Safe Kids Grand Forks Child Passenger Safety Liaison Jasmine Wangen goes over some common mistakes that parents often make, that leads to improper usage of their car seat. 

Wangen says another common mistake that’s made is moving their child out of a car seat too early, as Minnesota’s and North Dakota’s car seat laws may not apply to all children. 

If you would like to get your child’s car seat checked for proper installation and use, Safe Kids Grand Forks will be holding a Car Seat Check Up at Little Learners Childcare in Ada on Thursday, July 24 from 3:00 to 6:00. The event is free, and open to the public, with no appointments required.
