SAFE Kids Grand Forks reminding boaters to wear a lifejacket this Independence Day 

Coming up later this weekend, Minnesota, and North Dakota Lakes will be full of boaters celebrating the Independence Day holiday, making it one of the most dangerous weekends of the year to be on Minnesota’s Waters. For this reason, Carma Hansen of Safe Kids Grand Forks reminds boaters to make sure everyone is wearing their lifejackets. Especially children. 

Minnesota and North Dakota require a  U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket that is properly sized and easily accessible  for every person on board a recreational boat.
