Scam Alert

Scams are one of the top crimes in Polk County.   So says Polk County Investigator Justin Swang.  During an appearance on Thursday’s Food For Thought program on KKCQ, Swang and fellow Polk County Investigator Tom Brault talked about protecting yourself from a scam, whether it’s online or by telephone or text.  Brault says some scammers have high tech setups.

Brault goes on to say that besides calling law enforcement if you’ve been scammed, call your bank, too.
