Senator Mark Johnson Previews 2025 Legislative Session
The 2024 General Election is over, and St Paul is now shifting their focus to 2025, and the January Legislative Session. MN Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson (R-East Grand Forks) gives us a preview of what he thinks the session will look like, now that the Democratic trifecta is no longer.
Johnson also talked more about the effects of a tied MN House for 2025, and the possibility of a special session being called before the start of a new year.
Finally Johnson discussed and gave his opinion on President Elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees, which include ND Governor Doug Burgum, and Minnesota Native Pete Hegseth.
The 2025-2026 Minnesota legislative session begins on January 14, 2025. R&J News will be providing coverage of the session throughout the year.
