Severe WX Awareness Wednesday  

We continue to cover Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota.  Today’s subject is floods.  While flooding isn’t an issue at this time, Jim Kaiser, warning coordinating meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, says flooding can occur quickly after a heavy rain.

Thursday’s focus will be on tornadoes…and a reminder that Minnesota’s statewide tornado drill will take place on Thursday.  The drill will be held twice: at 1:45pm and 6:45pm.
