SKYWARN Class Being Offered during Severe Weather Awareness Week
As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, a free SKYWARN weather spotter class will be held Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00 p.m. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, Division of Emergency Management and the US Weather service in Duluth are hosting the class. The class will be at the Crow Wing County Land Service Building Meeting Room 1, 322 Laurel Street in Brainerd. SKYWARN is part of the National Weather Service’s warning program to establish a network of volunteers trained in the detection and reporting of life threatening storms. No registration is required.
