(Aitkin County, MN) — As we near the end of Severe Weather Awareness in Minnesota, SKYWARN Spotter Training classes will still be held in the next couple of weeks in Aitkin County to learn about proper safety in the event of severe weather.

In our conversation with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida, the classes offer a refresher for storm chasers and give interested parties a chance to learn more.

When severe weather does happen, storm chaser calls also give the Sheriff’s Office and other First Responders a leg up on communicating needed information to those affected.

SKYWARN Spotter Training classes will be April 20th at the Tamarack Sno-Flyers Building at 6:30pm in Tamarack and April 27th at the Palisade Fire Hall at 6pm in Palisade. Our full conversation with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida is available on the Wake The Lakes page at www.rjbroadcasting.com.
