Special Fertile Council Meeting Canceled

FERTILE, MN—On Tuesday, R&J News told you about a special Fertile City Council meeting that would be held this coming Thursday.  You can scratch that off your calendar.  Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden tells R&J News Thursday’s meeting has been canceled.  That special closed session meeting was to consider the sale of property.  Liden’s cancellation notice confirms that the Fair Meadow Nursing Home is the property the City Council will consider selling.  There’s no mention of a prospective buyer….though Cornerstone of Bagley has expressed interest in buying Fair Meadow.  

The agenda from the now-canceled meeting is now tentatively moved to the next regular Fertile City Council meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, April 8.
