Sugarbeet crop being affected by lack of consistent heat
During the latest KRJB Farm and Field Show R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier caught up with Joe Hasting of American Crystal Sugar to discuss the sugarbeet crop and how things are looking. Hasting says despite getting the crop in early the lack of a consistent warm heat could cause issues.
Hasting also discussed the impact this could have on disease and fungus in the sugarbeet crop.
Despite excess rain and wet conditions over the month of June Hasting says he has not seen large amounts of root rot in the Red River Valley sugarbeet crop.
