Sugarbeet crop update 

Sugarbeet pre-harvest is expected to be underway later this August, however growing conditions as of late have been perfect for diseases like Cercospora Leaf Spot. During the Farm and Field Program, R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier caught up with Ada Hanson of SESVanderHave to discuss the state of the disease in the Red River Valley. 

Hanson says area growers’ sugarbeet crop looks to have lower yields but higher sugar content.
