Sugarbeet Update 

The sugarbeet growing season continues to move along, and one thing that’s at the top of sugarbeet producers’ minds this time of year is Cercospora Leaf Spot. During his visit on the KRJB Farm and Field Show, Dr Ashok Chanda of the University of Minnesota said that producers need to remain vigilant as conditions have been perfect for leaf spot, and he tells us what he’s seeing across the valley. 

For producers looking to deal with leaf spot in their crop, Chanda says timing is everything, and it’s best to apply your fungicides early, then late.
