Sunne’s Strawberries Are Delicious!
Wednesday, June 26th marked the start of picking season at a certain strawberry farm as we had the opportunity to pay a visit to Sunne U-Pick Strawberries on their opening day. We got to talk to Joel Sunne who has been running the farm for a while now.
So how did the business start? And when did it come to International Falls?
Joel Sunne was then asked how much work does it take to manage the farm.
He also made sure to mention that this has unfortunately been a bit of a rough harvest compared to previous.
But that doesn’t mean that the strawberries aren’t good (I can personally attest to them being delicious), as there are still plenty of strawberries ready for picking.
Joel Sunne was then asked how many people they usually have visit on average.
So when the picking is done, does that mean the work is also done?
He was then asked about the hours that you can visit to pick some strawberries.
Does he buy specific seed or plants?
Joel Sunne was asked if he hires or if volunteers help with working on the plants.
He also lets us know the prices for picking strawberries at the farm.
Joel also wanted to encourage people to call them in advance.
And for good measure, he gave some more encouragement for people to come by.
So come on by Sunne’s U-Pick Strawberries and either BYOB or they provide you with a pale. These strawberries are worth it!
