Take a Kid Ice Fishing this weekend 

This weekend is the annual Take a Kid Ice Fishing Weekend, and the Minnesota DNR is encouraging ice anglers across the state to take a kid fishing with them. Minnesota DNR Fisheries Supervisor Nathan Olson says this weekend is a great way to introduce a kid to the sport of ice fishing. 

If you are planning to go out this weekend, Olson says you should be cautious of ice conditions around lake access points, due to the recent warm temperatures.
